SAFETY-FIRST POLICY

Introduction: Our Volleyball Club is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for all members, including children, teenagers, young adults, players with specific needs, and seniors. To achieve this, we have established a Safety-First Policy to minimize the risk of injury and ensure the well-being of all members.

Policy Statement:

  1. Equipment Safety: The club will regularly inspect and maintain all equipment to ensure it is in good condition and safe for use.

  2. Player Safety: All players must wear appropriate clothing and footwear during play, and all jewelry must be removed. Players with disabilities or special needs will be accommodated to ensure their safety.

  3. Supervision: Adequate supervision will be provided for all players, particularly young children and players with disabilities.

  4. First Aid: The club will have a fully stocked first aid kit on site, and at least one person present at each session will be trained in first aid.

  5. Emergency Procedures: The club will have emergency procedures in place and will regularly review and update them. All members will be made aware of these procedures.

  6. Risk Assessment: The club will conduct regular risk assessments to identify and address any potential hazards.

  7. Reporting Accidents: Any accidents or incidents must be reported immediately to the club's designated safety officer.

  8. Training and Awareness: The club will provide regular training and awareness sessions for all members on safe playing practices.

  9. Club Culture: The club will promote a culture of safety, encouraging all members to take responsibility for their own safety and the safety of others.
